From Salento With Love
In recent years, Salento has been recognized as a popular holiday destination. There are plentiful resorts on its territory, especially on the coast, and beautiful landscapes, for example, Alimini lakes on the Adriatic coast and the Porto Selvaggio natural park on the Ionian. There are numerous small urban centers, which are of great educative value and tourist interest, and a variety of churches, cathedrals, villas, palaces and farms, scattered throughout Salento, deserve attention as well.
Salento beaches are incredibly diverse – from sandy to rocky, but all are notable for clean and crystal-clear warm sea water. The most popular resorts are Ostuni, Casalabate, Oria, Ugento, Manduria, Porto Cesareo, Gallipoli, Torre del Orso, Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca, Lizzano, Pulsano, Santa Cesarea Terme, etc. In addition, the coast of Salento has infinite number of watch towers, the first of which were built by the Normans to protect themselves against pirates, sea caves and coves. The coastline of Salento is one of the longest in Italy, which is increasingly popular reason for tourism to the region.
There are almost no industry enterprises on the peninsula, it is an agricultural region, whose inhabitants are proud to grow organic products. Salento produces almost half of the olive oil in Italy, also the products of wine making and cheese production are exported around the world. Local cuisine is known as a top quality food, whether it is pasta or risotto, vegetables or fish, sweets or wine, pizza or seafood… it is always a great taste and high quality with very attractive prices.
Salento’s climate is Mediterranean, characterized by warm/hot summers with low humidity and mild winters. Precipitation on the peninsula is rare in summer, and it occasionally rains in winter.
But Salento is not only a warm sun, crystal sea and divine gastronomy, it is also a treasury of history, culture, natural resources, arts and culinary traditions that has recently attracted the interest and attention also from foreign tourists. Hospitality and cordiality of the local people of the peninsula, the exquisite aroma of Mediterranean cuisine, pristine nature, combined with modern hotel services for every taste make it an ideal place to spend time. Climate, landscapes and art, a strong connection with the traditions make Salento an attractive land that will forever remain in the memory and in the hearts of travelers. So, if you search for a holiday destination with wonderful weather, dreamy beaches, beautiful historic towns, delicious food and wine, and fun for all the family… welcome to Salento!

Quote of the Day
"Watch your thoughts for they become words. Watch your words for they become actions. Watch your actions for they become... habits. Watch your habits, for they become your character. And watch your character, for it becomes your destiny! What we think we become. "

Medieval Siena
San Gimignano |
This was my first impression, Siena, or maybe the whole Tuscany, was medieval... I say 'maybe' the whole Tuscany, as I have been only to Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Colle Val d'Elsa. My trip to Siena was in the beginning of November, and I was lucky with the weather, it was still warm and sunny... so I had the possibility to see the golden autumn there... and it was amazing, the colors were really vivid and juicy, red, yellow, green and purple... Another thing I like is that it is surrounded by nature with lots of panoramic views, everywhere you can see fields and hills (I guess it is perfect for hiking or cycling) and at the same time, almost every hill has castle, or fortress-town, or just a house/villa... I visited only three such hill towns: San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Colle Val d'Elsa. The first two are more famous, but if you are already there, you shouldn't miss Colle Val d'Elsa, it is, without doubt, worth visiting, as it is less crowded, but absolutely not less picturesque ...

The key to successful long term relationship
Like in the majority of romantic movies, where the happy end arrives when the couple finally gets married, some people think that it is important to meet the right person for them and then they will finally can relax and enjoy life together forever... The first surprise comes when two people begin to live together, as it is very different when you just date and see each other in the evenings, or even spend together the whole weekend sometimes, from when you live and stay together 24/7. Here you begin (very quickly) to learn if you are really compatible with your partner...

The Rules of Online Dating
To begin with, I should say that thanks to online dating site 5 years ago I found my boy-friend, who now became my husband, I guess it would be very difficult for us to find each other without internet help, as I am Ukrainian and he is Italian... So we consider us very lucky:)
Anyway, this is already the end of my online dating experience, I would even say the happy end:) and everything began 9 years ago, when I began to work in international marriage agency as interpreter...
